Songs from Freeman's Ballyvourney Collection: Ger Wolfe & a chairde

This album features a selection of songs from ‘The Ballyvourney Collection’ gathered in 1913-1914 in Gaeltacht Múscraí, North West Cork by A.Martin Freeman, published in 1920-1921 in the journal of ‘The Folksong Society’. 

Some of the songs from Freeman's collection were the focus ITMA's episode of Taascadh ón Tobar with Iarla Ó Lionáird, broadcast on TG4. From Freeman's work, Ger Wolfe brings more songs to life with added accompaniment from musicians and singers.
